For the First Time, the Southport Garden Club is having a Winterfest-ival of Trees!

This is your chance to display your artistic holiday talents by decorating your own Christmas Tree and entering it for display in the Winterfest-ival of Trees, to be held in Southport’s beautiful Franklin Square Park. The Park will become a beautiful Christmas Tree Park where visitors will be able to enjoy the many displays of artistry, twinkling lights and delights for kids of ALL ages!

Come and join us and submit your decorated tree for all to enjoy. The entry fee is only $30 and benefits the upkeep of the Southport Garden Club’s many gardens found around the city.

Registration is open from October 20th through December 1st.

Dates For Dropping Off Your Decorated Christmas Tree: Please ensure that you drop off your decorated Christmas Tree on either Monday, December 8th from 9AM – 4PM, or on Tuesday, December 9th, from 9AM until 12PM.

We’d appreciate getting as many trees as possible delivered into the Park on Monday, to help decorate for the concert to be held there Monday night.

Drop-off Address: Franklin Square Park, Intersection of N. Howe St and E. West St.

Please plan to attend the special evening of “Winterfest-ival of Trees” on Tuesday evening, December 9^th from 6 -8PM. The event will feature music, refreshments, a visit by Santa, sales of floral arrangements, viewing wreaths up for Silent Auction, and attendees’ judging for best tree.

Date For Picking Up Your Decorated Christmas Tree: Sunday, December 14th, from 12PM – 4PM.  Should severe weather be predicted at any time during the week, you’ll have contact-info to arrange to pick up your tree early.
