Keziah Memorial Park Garden
Keziah Memorial Park, named for Bill Keziah who was a local journalist in the 1930’s and 40’s, is located at the corner of West Moore and South Lord Streets and is best known for it’s Indian Trail tree. This ancient oak is estimated to be 800 years old. Tradition tells the story that the tree was used to mark a Native American fishing area.
The shade covered park has picnic tables and benches where you’ll often find folks relaxing and enjoying a book or maybe even lunch.
The Southport Garden Club maintains a small garden within the park and updates it as each season begins.
