Cups of Cheer!
The Southport Garden Club’s Cups of Cheer! program is a favorite of Club members for putting a smile on someone’s face.
At different times of the year, club members will get together and place floral arrangements in coffee cups and distribute them to the Southport Senior Center, area nursing homes and other locations where flowers and smiles are needed. It’s a great way to learn how to create small floral arrangements while letting folks know that we care about them.
As a side benefit, not only do folks receive flowers, they also gain a new coffee cup.
